I initially visited Mt.Vernon with my children's family. After visiting with them regularly, I was deployed to Iraq in 2005. Upon returning in 2006, I decided to revisit on my own merit and because of the teaching by Pastor Brown being so clear and understanding I decided to join as I felt I was being spiritually led by God.
Wille; I met Stacey in 2019 and started visiting Mt. Vernon with her. Upon my first visit, I felt like I belonged because the greeters were so kind and friendly. Then, Pastor Brown's teaching so that a child can understand. I decided to join. We wouldnt want to be anywhere else.

Through the grace given unto me; I became a member of Greater Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in 2004 because of Dr.Samuel C.Brown who expressed sincere concern for GOD's ministry in my life and his commitment and faithfulness in teaching sound doctrine. The Word of GOD.
